Work with us
Vacancies
Working at Swedish International School in Spain is an opportunity for teachers and other education professionals to help shape a Swedish school from the ground up.
Our staff are the school's most important building block. Here you work in small classes with a high staff-to-pupil ratio, close to colleagues and families, in an international environment between Estepona and Marbella.
We are looking for someone who
- Holds Swedish teaching qualifications or a relevant educational background.
- Wants to work with individually tailored teaching, with digital tools as a natural part of learning.
- Enjoys an international environment and close contact with pupils and guardians.
- Wants to help build a new school together with colleagues and management.
Working in Spain
The school is in Cancelada between Estepona and Marbella, close to both the sea and the mountains. For those relocating, it means short commutes, a mild climate for most of the year and an international setting where Swedish, Spanish and English are heard side by side. We are happy to share information on practical matters such as NIE, registration and neighbourhoods — see our guides on moving to Spain.
The recruitment process
We read applications on a rolling basis. After an initial contact we arrange a conversation — on site or online — covering your background, how you work and what the role involves. If relevant we ask for references and certificates. Needs vary across the school year, so even if there is no vacancy right now we are glad to keep your application on file.
