Data controller
Swedish International School, Urb Costalita 1, Cancelada, 29688 Estepona, Spain, is responsible for the processing of personal data submitted via the website. Questions about the processing should be sent to rektor@sweintschool.com.
What data we collect
Via the application form you provide information about the pupil and about the guardians:
- The pupil's name, date of birth, gender, nationality and ID number (personal number, NIE/DNI or equivalent).
- Address, previous school, siblings at the school, and any other information you choose to provide.
- Desired term, year group, period, start date and any add-ons such as leisure club, football academy or padel/tennis.
- Guardians' names, relationship to the pupil, email, phone, nationality, address and any ID number.
Why we process the data
The data is used to process the application, assess placement and year group, calculate fees, contact guardians and – if you accept an offered place – draw up an agreement and register the pupil in the school's administration. We do not use the data for marketing and do not sell it on.
How the data is stored
Applications are stored in the school's administration system and are only accessible to school staff who need them for their work. What you fill in is also saved temporarily in your own browser so that you can continue the application later; that draft is deleted once the application is submitted and can be removed at any time by clearing your browser's storage.
The AI guide Sol
What you write in the regular Sol conversation is sent to the school’s AI provider to generate the answer and is not used to train the provider’s models. Sol can help you complete an application. If you do not want information to be processed in this way, use the regular application form or contact the school directly. Identity numbers entered in Sol’s dedicated secure fields are not sent to the AI service.
Your rights
You have the right to request an extract of the data we hold about you and your child, to have inaccurate data corrected, and to request deletion once the data is no longer needed for the school's processing or under law. Contact the headteacher and we'll help you.
